During a courtesy visit to the Kogi State Police Commissioner’s office in Lokoja, AVM Umar Faruk pledged to provide necessary equipment, logistical support, and resources to enhance the police’s crime-fighting efforts.
He emphasized the importance of a secure environment for the socio-economic development of the state.
The Chairman commended the Nigeria Police for their efforts in combating crime in the state, despite the challenges posed by the influx of criminals from neighboring states.
He acknowledged the sacrifices made by the police and other security agencies in maintaining law and order.
In his response, Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Cp Miller Nantawaye, appreciated the Chairman’s visit, stating that it demonstrates his commitment to supporting security agencies in the state.
CP Nantawaye assured that his office would work closely with the KSSTF to ensure the safety and security of Kogi State.
He also thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his administration’s support for security agencies, noting that the governor’s efforts have contributed significantly to the relative peace enjoyed in the state.
